Bette was born September 25, 1939, to Allene Burleson and Franklin Jefferson “F.J.” Smith. She married L.M. “Sam” Scroggins on February 21, 1959. Bette is predeceased by both parents, husband Sam (1/24/2003), and grandson Dustin Mark Hebert (12/3/2021). Survivors include her chosen daughter Judy Chambers Hale and Judy’s extended family, her beloved dog Pierre, son Stuart Scroggins and his children Lukas and Emma, daughter Stephanie Hebert, and her son Hunter and son-in-law Riaz.
