She moved to Guymon, Oklahoma, where she graduated from Guymon High School in the class of 1959. Barbara met the love of her life, Max, in 1961 in Canadian, Texas. They were married on May 11, 1963 amid the blare of tornado sirens. Barbara went on to attend beauty school and began her career as a hair stylist. She also worked alongside her husband in seismic drilling, and in February 1972, they started their own business. In the 1980s, she earned her realtor's license in Ardmore, Oklahoma, where she was named Realtor of the Year and recognized as a multi-million-dollar producer. They were blessed with two sons, Jody Max and Kelly Dean. Barbara bragged on her boys to everyone she knew and even some of those that she didn't know. She attended every sporting event and competition to cheer them on with her cowbell. Barbara loved her red '57 Chevy and won numerous trophies at car shows and enjoyed playing spades. Her heart was made complete by the arrival of eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ardmore, and her greatest joy was being with her family and dogs. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers AD and Bill Edens. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Max Barton Morgan of Ardmore, Oklahoma; son Jody Morgan and wife Dana of Lone Grove, Oklahoma; son Kelly Morgan and wife Tonja of Denton; grandchildren Landon Morgan, Lauren Morgan, Lane Morgan and wife Jordan, Micah Batton and husband Trevor, Justus Morgan and wife Carlen, Aarin Nelson and husband Aaron, Faith Morgan and fiancée Cole Wallace, Isaac Morgan and wife Julia; great-grandchildren Miles Morgan, Leon Morgan, Brooklynn Batton, Dezzie Batton, and Shepherd Nelson; and fur babies Maddie and Regan. Visitation will be held from 10 am to 8 pm, with family hours from 5 pm to 7 pm, on Monday, July 29, at Watts Funeral Home, in Madill, Oklahoma. A funeral service will be Tuesday, July 30, at 10 am at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Donny Custar will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Oakland Cemetery, Oakland, Oklahoma. Service will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma. Casket bearers are Landon Morgan, Lane Morgan, Justus Morgan, Isaac Morgan, Trevor Batton, Aaron Nelson and Cole Wallace. Barbara Nell Morgan was born on December 28, 1941, in Plainview, Texas, to Tonie and Ione Evelyn Mills.
