Doug Jamieson passed away on Monday November 20, 2023, at North Island Comox Valley Hospital at the age of 84. Born in Midland, Ontario on 5 April 1939. Predeceased by his parents Orville Jamieson, and Cordis Jean (Marcellus); Sister Helen (Arensburg); brothers Harold, William, Lorne, Earl, George, Walter. He leaves behind his wife Patricia (Clairmont) Jamieson of 41 years. Survived also by his sons Mark (Susan Carter); Todd (Darlene Boudreau) Daughters Beverley (Greg Gillcash); Jami Gillingham-Bruneau (Mike) And Stepdaughter Caroline Chretien (Yan). He also leaves behind nieces and nephews. And from a previous marriage 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. As well from current marriage he leaves behind 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces (Navy) from 1956 to 1989. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for which he was proud of the Legion’s commitment to the community and veterans. Also, a member of the Royal Canadian Naval Association for many years. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and Health care Aids that provided Compassionate and professional care while Doug was hospitalized. We also thank Krista from the Toneff Funeral Home for her compassion and professionalism. Memorial Service to be held on 5 December 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 17 at 367 Cliffe Ave, Courtenay.
