OBITUARY: James KELLY (1934-2024)

James Kelly, 90, husband of Rosita Kack, passed away at Saint Brigid’s Home on Aug. 4, 2024. He was the son of the late Eileen Lannin and the late Vincent Kelly. He resided in Shannon for the majority of his life.

A funeral mass was held in the presence of his ashes on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024, at the Saint-Catherine Church in Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier. James’ ashes were buried that day in the adjacent Saint-Catherine cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years Rosita; his children Gordon (Sandy), Robert (Amy), Stanley (Paddi-Jo), John (Muoi) and Catherine (Mark); his grandchildren Vincent, Liam, Sophie, Brenden, Mona and Neil; in-laws, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Saint Brigid’s Home for their humanity, their caring attitude and their thoughtful care. Similarly, thanks to the staff of Lépine Cloutier for funeral services and arrangements kindly provided.
