A Celebration of Life Service is pending. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian. Maryann Moot Dickens was born March 10, 1930, in Carson County to Carl and Elizabeth Kuntz Moot. She married her high school sweetheart, Charles Gilbert “Gib” Dickens on August 11, 1950. They were married 71 years. Maryann graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Following graduation, Maryann and Gib moved to Canadian. They were active in their community for 30 years. Following retirement, Maryann and Gib split their time between Angel Fire, New Mexico, and the Hill Country of Texas, pursuing their passions and traveling. Maryann was a gifted watercolor artist and enjoyed displaying her works in art competitions, contests, and juried exhibitions. Maryann was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; and husband, Gilbert. Those left to share her memories are three children, Gilissa Murray and husband Richard of Canadian, Gibann Bunnett and husband William of Scottsdale, AZ, and Chris Dickens of Oklahoma City, OK; five grandchildren, Matt Martin and wife Karen of Edmond, OK, Ammie Murray of Loveland, CO, Betsy Murray of Elgin, TX, Chase Dickens and wife Courtney of Oklahoma City, OK, Alexis Dickens of Oklahoma City, OK; four great-grandchildren, Makya Murry, Kalea Vincent, Lawrence Dickens, and Porter Dickens.
