OBITUARY

Sandra (Sandi) WALLS

May 16, 1953-August 30, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sandi Walls (née Cantin). Surrounded by family, Sandi passed away peacefully at home on the morning of Aug. 30. Along with her loving partner of 15 years, Pat Conway, she leaves behind her daughters Stacy, Lauren and Taylor and her beautiful granddaughter Cameryn. Sandi was the youngest of four children born to Ray and Marie Cantin. Sandi also leaves behind her siblings Ron Cantin (Diane), Mary Ellen Cantin and Douglas Cantin; nieces Dominique and Mélanie; nephews Jean- François (JF), Gerald and Michaël; her stepdaughter Erin Langford (Matt) and step-grandchildren Skylar and Riley; her close friend Lynn Conway and many other friends. Everything she did, whether in her work, community or social life, was full of kindness, compassion, creativity and brilliant humour. She was a true artist with a gifted imagination. She would spend countless hours in her art studio (the loft) creating thousands of whimsical pages for the dozens of journals she made for family and friends. She loved to paint rocks and leave them around town for people to find to bring joy and a smile. Listening to music was a big part of her life. The radio was always on and cranked whenever the Stones played. In the eyes of her family and friends, she was truly one of a kind, and we were all fortunate to have known such a wonderful lady.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and nursing staff at the Winchester Hospital for their care and compassion. In Sandi’s memory, donations to the Winchester Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
