Carol Ann Cairns

It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Carol Ann Cairns announces her sudden passing on December 17th, 2023, at the age of 80.

Carol was predeceased by her father Borden Cairns, her mother Elra Cairns, 2 brothers, Ottie and James Cairns, her sister Elra Jensen, and her best 4-legged friend Nikita.

Carol leaves behind her sister Ella Acheson, 5 children, Tammy Morrison (Richard), Edward Gullison, Barbara LaChapelle (Russ), Gerald Gullison (Debra), John Gullison Jr (Lisa), 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her strength, resilience, wisdom and no-nonsense advice, her love for animals, flower beds, and the kitchen are what set her apart.

The cookie jar was never without fresh cookies that were made with a love that none of us will ever forget.

If you ever got to visit with her, you came away with a full belly, greater wisdom, cheeks that hurt from smiling and a full Tupperware container, possibly your laundry folded, your dishes done and maybe even your bed made.

Donations in Carol’s name can be made to the Mae Bachur animal shelter or to a charity of one’s choice.

At her request there will be no visitation or funeral.
