Body

John Buschman, 59, of Canadian walked into Heaven with Jesus on Friday, March 21, 2025, in Amarillo.

Memorial services will be held at 2 pm on Monday, March 31, at the River Ministries Church with Donald Hill, Pastor officiating. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

John Jesse Buschman was born December 10, 1965, in Spearman to George and Corinne Cade Buschman. He attended Canadian schools. John married Shirl Swart on December 12, 2011. He had a bit of advice for men, “Marry the love of your life within a couple of days of your birthday and you won’t forget either one!” He was a diesel mechanic with Caleb Farrar at Canadian Tractor and Equipment until his health forced his retirement. John loved the Lord, and his life was forever changed after he attended and worked on Emmaus Walks and a Men’s Kiros team. He loved his church, The River Ministries and his church family. John was a loving devoted family man to his wife, kids, grandkids and extended family. A scripture that fit John is Colossians 3:23, Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically, as something done for the Lord and not for men.

John was preceded in death by his parents, George and Corinne Buschman.

Those left to celebrate his memory are his wife, Shirl Buschman of Canadian; children, Travis Conrad of Canadian, Aaron Conrad of Montana, Joshua Conrad of Montana, Jonathon Conrad of Abilene, Jacob Skiles and wife Meranda of Amarillo; six grandchildren; sister, Ruth Ward and husband Kelly of Canadian; three nieces: Krystal Dickinson and husband Ty of Canadian, Lisa Werner and husband Justin of Amarillo, and Kris Sanchez of Canadian; four sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and special friends Caleb and Bonnie Farrar and family.
