OBITUARY: Louise LAURIE (née Lamb) (1932-2025)

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Louise Laurie (née Lamb) on April 8, 2025, at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Francis Joseph (Ben) Laurie (deceased 1976), she was the daughter of the late Lucienne Marcoux (née Gauvin) and the late Chesley Lamb.

She leaves behind her children Debra, Linda (Richard), Gordon (Michelle) and the late Stephen (deceased 1985). She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Matthew (Amanda), Laura (Dave), Vanessa (Derek) and Bianca (Thomas), as well as five adored great-grandchildren, Aliyah, Tessa, Jackson, Orion and Ivy. She is survived by her sister Catherine (Kitty) and many other relatives and friends.

Louise was born in Quebec City, where she lived until 2007, when she moved to Pointe- Claire to be closer to her family. She had been living at the West Island Manor in Pierrefonds since September 2023. The family wishes to recognize and thank the wonderful staff of the West Island Manor for the excellent care and companionship she received during her time there.

She will forever remain in our hearts.

At her request, no funeral service will take place. A private family gathering will be held at a future date.
