Memorial services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, October 9, at First Baptist Church Sanctuary, 1208 S. Tyler St., with Pastor Mike Martindale and Dr. Howard Batson officiating.Kathleen was born August 15, 1937 in Canadian, to Thomas and Josephine Riley. She graduated from Canadian High School, and went on to earn a bachelor degree in Education from West Texas State University. Kathleen married her husband, Jerry Martindale on August 20, 1960 in Canadian.Kathleen worked for AISD as a 1st grade teacher at Puckett Elementary School for over 20 years. She was an active member of First Baptist Church where she met her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She went on to commit her life to serving Him and was active in the Joy Bible Study class for many years. Kathleen was a very talented seamstress and accomplished 3rd generation china painter. She created many beautiful pieces over the years. She loved working in her yard and gardening, and she adored her many kitties, who will miss her very much. Kathleen will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry Martindale; and her sister, Sharon Lusk.Survivors include her son, Mike Martindale and wife LaNell of Lubbock; her daughter, Leslie Martindale and husband Jaison Zazueta of Amarillo; her sister, Helen Walker of Canadian; and her granddaughter, Mackenzie Martindale.The family suggests memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 1208 S.
