Ronald Robert Lang was born July 11th, 1944 in Montreal, Quebec and died peacefully in his home December 17th, 2023 in Whitehorse, Yukon.
He was predeceased by his mother Georgina. Ron leaves behind his two sons, Daniel (Jennifer) and Aaron (Andria); six grandsons, Gabriel, Joshua, Ethan, Matthew, Michael, and Kaleb; one granddaughter, Emily; and one great-granddaughter, Mayael.
Ron had many jobs such as security guard, taxi driver, driller/blaster, camp cook, and most recently a night auditor at the River View Inn. He enjoyed wildlife photography, cooking at the Little Dutch Bakery (Mom’s kitchen), and creating many stained-glass projects. He was a musician that could play harmonica, accordion, and anything with a keyboard. His biggest hobby was karaoke where he got to sing and travel weekly to pubs and bars around the north.
After living in many places across Canada Ron’s last 25 years were spent in and around Whitehorse. He loved the people and the many opportunities for seniors. He will be remembered as living a simple life,
and as the guy that would always welcome a long chat over coffee and a smoke with anyone at anytime.
A Celebration of Life for Ron will be held at the Nazarene Church, located at 2111 Centennial St., on May 21st, 2024 at 5:00 pm.
