In loving memory ~
Noviello, Anna, beloved wife, mother and Nonna passed away peacefully in Port Alberni at the age of 86 on November 29, 2023. Anna leaves behind her most treasured legacy, her family, who were an immense source of pride and joy for her.
She is predeceased by her husband best friends, Ciro, who she traveled to Canada to marry in 1958. The pair met initially in their hometown of Portici, Italy. They exchanged letters back and forth until Anna embarked on the journey to join him in Port Alberni to build their future together.
Anna was known for her infectious joy and happiness; spreading love and positivity to everyone around her. She was referred to as Nonna by more than just her family and welcomed everyone with open arms, as long as they came to her house with an appetite for her incredible Italian cooking!
Throughout her life, she was devoted to her Catholic faith and was a long-time member of the Catholic women’s League and choir.
Before moving to Canada, Anna lived with her mother and worked as a seamstress. Over the years, she used her seamstress talents for many important garments, from wedding gowns to communion dresses, for her loved ones to celebrate life’s special moments.
She will be remembered by her sons Peter (Rhonda), Marco (Mary), Franco (Lisa) and Roberto (Mila); along with her grandchildren Carla (robin), Hannah (Mark), Myra, Jenessa (Jared), Ryan, Michael, Marco; great-grandchildren Vienna, Sophia, Amelia and Liam; niece Guilia and nephew Peter.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Holy Family Notre Dame Catholic Church, 4731 Burke Road.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make donation’s in Anna’s memory to the charity of their choice.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff at Echo Village for Nonna’s care and support.
