Corwin Dean Hall

August 15, 1931 – July 17, 2023
It is with sadness and very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Corwin Dean Hall, who passed peacefully in his sleep on July 17th at the Nanaimo General Hospital.
He leaves behind his wife Margery of 68 years, his son Terry (Barb) grandchildren Rachelle (Jim) and Craig (Kayla), two great-grandchildren Kaden and Alex as well as his brother Wayne (Bonnie) and sister-in-law Ruth. He was predeceased by his daughter Mardean in 1971, his brother David and his sister Donna.
Dean was born in Vulcan, Alberta on August 15, 1931. When he was 14, the family moved to Penticton, BC and then to Chilliwack, BC where he completed his Grade 12 at Chilliwack senior secondary School. It is there that he met the love of his life and in 1955 he and Marge were married and began their life together. He worked at the Bank of Commerce for 2 years and then took a job at York Farms (a division of Canada Packers). He worked there for 25 years as an accountant and office manager. He was then transferred to the head office in Toronto, where they lived for 15 years before retiring and settling in Qualicum Beach, BC.
Dean and Marge were fortunate to have made some wonderful friends in Qualicum and up until the last few years, kept a very busy social life. There were very few days on the calendar without some kind of activity on it.
Dean enjoyed many interests including curling, golfing, fishing and coin collecting, but he was most happy when family and friends were around. The Qualicum Curling Bonspiel was a highlight every year and many stories are still shared of memories that were made when relatives and friends would gather at the house for the annual bonspiel. Some of his most enjoyable times were fishing trips with Marge, Terry, Barb and nephew Brent. They spent endless hours together camped at China Creek making lasting memories that will never be forgotten.
We love you forever Dad, and you will always be in our hearts.
