In loving memory ~
We regretfully announce the peaceful passing of Carl Kenneth Savery on May 20, 2023, with his wife Geraldine by his side. He was born March 1937 in Verdun, Que. After retiring from the Military, Carl and Gerri moved to Campbell River, bought and operated the Seaside Motel and Boat Rentals for seven years. Within 10 years, they were back living in the same waterfront spot to properly enjoy the view. After selling the motel, Carl ventured into real estate for 25 years. When he retired, Carl and Gerri spent winters travelling from Alaska to Costa Rica, Jamaica to Hawaii and many places in between. In the summers, they enjoyed time with the Power Squadron as well as fishing and cruising aboard the CeeJay at Lagoon Cove and around the Broughton Islands.
Carl is predeceased by son Larry in 1974 and survived by his wife Geraldine, and their sons Doug (Chantal), Rob (Andrea) and Rick (Debbie). He enjoyed any time spent with his grandchildren Darren, Danielle, Justine, Brianna, Julia, Marcus and Drew and his great granddaughters Madison and Marley. A special thank you to the home care workers and nurses who recently cared for him.
Carl will be forever loved and remembered. No service or flowers by request, but we do appreciate your support during this difficult time.
