In loving memory ~
Stan was born in New Westminster and moved to Port Alberni at a young age to live with his sister Joanne. He worked as a logger starting at age 15 at different camps around the Alberni Valley until finally hiring on at Sproat Lake Division. He loved camping with his family and travelling with many winter trips to Hawaii and Palm Springs.
Predeceased by his wife of 60 years Cathy, brother-in-law Jim, daughter-in-law Bonnie, and granddaughter Nikki. Survived by his second wife Sharon, children Bruce (Elaine), Steve (Maria) of Port Alberni, Cath Balogh (Ray) of Deep Bay, and Rob (Tara) of Duncan, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one great-great grand child along with numerous nieces & nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Ward at Nanaimo General Hospital for making him comfortable in his last days.
