In loving memory ~
Bob passed away from Parkinson’s-related pneumonia. Born and raised in Victoria, Bob led an adventurous life, having served in the Air Force as a code breaker. Subsequent journeys included being a diplomatic courier for the Canadian government. He served in the Canadian embassies in Sweden, India, Nigeria, Russia, and Thailand.
When back in B.C. he worked in many logging camps as an office manager on the West Coast of Vancouver Island and Northern B.C. After a few years in Port Hardy, he moved the Interfor office to Campbell River in 1988. Upon retirement, Bob, Hazel, and their dogs (Koko Bear and Buddy) enjoyed many years at Robinson Lake, Black Creek, and lots of good times with friends and neighbours.
His later years were spent in Campbell River and snow-birding in Arizona, with trips to Europe and Mexico in between. Bob is survived by his wife Hazel, son Mike (Shawna), Mike’s mother Barbara, sister Maureen, nieces, and nephew.
The Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 3 p.m. at the Legion Hall in Campbell River, B.C.
