Roy Storey

In Loving Memory ~
October 1931 – May 2023
Roy Storey passed away peacefully at the Comox Valley Hospital at the age of 91 years with his three daughters by his side.
He was happy to call the Comox Valley home since retiring from the steel industry in Vancouver, 40 years ago.
A familiar face around Union Bay, after years of involvement with community boards, committees, fundraisers & events.
He was always willing to roll up his sleeves and be an active participant, all the while sharing stories & wisdom.
Roy enjoyed all the area has to offer, skiing Mount Washington, walking the Royston Trail, boating & fishing in beautiful Baynes Sound.
In later years he discovered a love for performing & was an active member of local drama & choral groups up until last month.
Roy’s life was enriched by the friendship of many, from long-term neighbours, and community group members, as well as lifelong friends from earlier years in Richmond and Victoria.
He will remain in the hearts of his daughters Karen (Rick), Roxanne (Randy), Melissa (Dave), his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Roy was predeceased in 2014 by Margaret, his spouse of 62 years.
