Michael Keith Mann

April 6, 1970 – May 22, 2023
It is with sorrow and sadness we announce the passing of Michael (Mike) Mann.
He is predeceased by Mom and Dad (Faye and Keith) in 2022. Mike was heartbroken to lose both parents in such a short time.
He is survived by his sisters: Laurel (Tim) and Tracey (Jim) and his cousin Debbie (Reg), who he considered his third sister. Also missing him are nieces Joelene (Will), Robyn (Matt), Megan and his favorite nephew Scott (Michelle).
He will be sadly missed by Chad, his Nanaimo Clipper buddies and all his friends who he grew up with and those who supported him through his long battle with health issues.
Michael was born in Lahr Germany. After stops in Cold Lake, Trenton and Vancouver the family settled in Nanaimo where he completed school, worked and contributed to his community through Kinsmen.
Mike was always an avid sports fan, amazingly able to remember players and stats from multiple teams. His favourites: The Clippers, Montreal Canadiens, The Blue Jays, BC Lions, Saskatchewan Roughriders, Seattle Seahawks and the Raiders.
Mike was a kind and gentle soul who made friends easily. Despite his poor health he maintained a brave front as he awaited a kidney transplant that he never seemed quite healthy enough to receive.
Thank you to his dialysis team, Dr. Booth, Dr. Schulson, Dr. Forrest and the ICU team at NRGH.
No service is planned. Donations can be made to the Salvation Army in Mikes memory.
