In loving memory ~

Our mom was born in Killarney, Manitoba on August 11, 1944, to Walter Brown and May Taylor. Marlene was still young when the family moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba. Mom and Dad lived 3 blocks from each other growing up. Dad chased mom down the railroad tracks, caught her and kissed her, it was True Love. They married on November 4th, 1961, and had their first son Jimmy after 1 year of marriage. Greg came 18 months later and Jerry 8 years after Greg.

We moved to Thompson, Manitoba for work in 1964. On a holiday to Vancouver Island in 1978 Mom and Dad came to Campbell River and decided this is where they wanted to live; in Paradise. Dad worked at Myra Falls and Mom worked at Thongs Jewelry for over 30 years. Mom loved working with the customers, Thong and the girls. Mom loved spending time with family and friends, travelling with dad and her Lord Jesus. Mom enjoyed genealogy and through genealogy found her Taylor relatives in England. Mom and Dad went to visit her Taylor relatives and also travelled extensively around the United States, especially to visit her cousins David and Cindy Taylor in San Diego.

Mom was predeceased by her husband Jim of 45 years and leaves behind 3 sons Jimmy (Denise), Greg (Carol) and Jerry (Carmen) and 5 grandchildren Alex, AJ, Montana, Ayla and Trevor. She also leaves behind 2 sisters Carol (Bill) and Dawn (Shawn) and many more family members in Canada, the United States and Britain.

Mom will be missed so much. Mom is now with Dad now. She Loves Him so.
